For 15 years Jane worked in advertising and marketing in New York for clients that included Procter and Gamble, L'Oreal, and Lipton Soups. When her two children were still young, she left the corporate world and began buying, renovating and selling homes in northern New Jersey. During this period, she aLso obtained her Contractors License and studied interior design at Parsons and New York School of lnterior Design. Prior to embarking on her Real Estate career, she operated Jane Austin Design, LLC and was an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Jane and her husband became acquainted with the Mad River Valley when their son went to school at the Green Mountain Valley School (GMVS) in Waitsfield. It didn’t take long for them to realize that the Mad River Valley was not only a wonderful ski town but a terrific spot for all seasons! In 2008, they moved to the Valley full time and shortly afterwards, Jane began her real estate career with Roth Real Estate, a well established family owned company that had served Sugarbush and the Mad River Valley since 1961. While working at Roth Real Estate, Jane was one of the highest producers among real estate agents in the Mad River Valley area. She became a licensed real estate broker in 2016, and is a member of the National Association of Realtors. She holds designations as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS).
Jane served on the Board of Directors of the Green Mountain Valley School for 12 years and continues to maintain a strong association with the school today. She loves downhill skiing, and snowshoeing in the winter and is an avid golfer. Working as a real estate broker, Jane is able to combine all the aspects of her business life - advertising, marketing, building, construction and design - to help her customers and clients find the perfect country property here in this beautiful part of Vermont.
As Roth Real Estate closes it’s doors this year, Jane is opening Jane Austin Real Estate, LLC and is operating as an independent contractor with Keller Williams Vermont. She is thrilled to be joining Keller Williams and, with the help of the strong Management team and resources at KW, looks forward to a rewarding and successful relationship.
